This hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways. The attention to detail was impressive, from the beautifully prepared dinner served in our room to the delicate bed setup while we were out for onsen. The staff went above and beyond, despite the language barrier, to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The highlight was definitely the onsen experience. The open-air hot spring bath offered a magnificent view of Lake Shikotsu, and even though the water level was low during my stay, it was still a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The traditional Japanese-style rooms, complete with a hot spring bath, added to the overall charm and authenticity of the stay.
Everything was satisfactory, nothing to improve.

We stayed at an Onsen resort nestled amidst mountains and a serene lake view. Rooms were spacious with traditional Japanese décor, comfortable futon beds and some amazing views. We could relax in the private or public onsen after a tiring day. Service was impeccable and staff was always warm and welcoming. the sound of the waves from the lake, and views of the mountains and stars from the outdoor onsen make this place an ideal place to unwind.
The menu variety could be improved.

The location was remote but had some spectacular views. The traditional Japanese style was charming, and the food was excellent and presented in a delightful manner.
The accommodation lacked certain expected standards like no ensuite shower or bathroom, and the absence of air conditioning in the room made the stay uncomfortable. The sewage installations outside the room made the sleeping experience very unpleasant.
